Oceanus Holdings is an active, and highly experienced private investment firm focused on equity and debt transactions in the Southeastern United States. The majority of our efforts focus on established companies with proven recurring revenue models. Most of our investments take the form of an outright acquisition or majority control. In many of our prior investments, we assumed the role of the senior management team. However, we have also financed transactions that created a partnership with existing management teams. Upon initial completion of a transaction, our overall success is a direct result of our ability to generate both organic growth as well as identify, finance, and integrate complimentary acquisitions.

Leadership
Mike is the Chairman of Oceanus. He is both a successful entrepreneur and a seasoned CEO. Over the past several decades he has an established track record of starting, operating, financing, and monetizing numerous ventures. Throughout his career, he has proven to be highly adept at identifying emerging trends and developing businesses that serve as strategic acquisition platforms across technology, business process outsourcing, communications, and social media.
He is adept at private debt and equity fundraising in transactions where he assumes the role of lead investor. This typically includes family offices and other non-institutional investors. Mike is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School and earned his MBA from SMU’s Cox Business School. He also authored Social Media Leadership; How to Get off the Bench and Into the Game.
Michael F. Lewis
Wilson serves as Head of Originations at Oceanus, where he is responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, developing intermediary and founder relationships, and supporting the firm’s overall deal pipeline and transaction strategy.
Prior to joining Oceanus, Wilson served as Senior Vice President at Argos Health (now EnableComp), a leading revenue cycle management company backed by private equity. He joined Argos through its acquisition of Allgood Professional Services, LLC, a firm he co-founded and scaled prior to its exit. Earlier in his career, Wilson held finance roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and Triad Guaranty Insurance Corporation.
Wilson earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia and a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law.
Wilson F. Allgood
Ryan is the Chief Investment Officer of Oceanus. Before Oceanus, Ryan spent six years at Credit Suisse in New York, Atlanta, and Dallas as a Vice President in Investment Banking and Global Markets. Prior to Credit Suisse, Ryan was a partner and investment committee member at Alpha Capital Management on a team managing two multi-strategy investment funds. He has over 15 years of investment & capital markets experience. Ryan holds a BS from Mercer University where he studied Biology and Chemistry. He is a CFA charterholder and member of the New York & Jacksonville CFA Societies.
Ryan J. Becker, CFA
Brian Rhodes is the Head of Portfolio Operations at Oceanus, where he leads initiatives to drive value creation, operational efficiency, and strategic growth across the firm’s portfolio companies. He brings over two decades of leadership experience in technology and software operations, with a proven track record of scaling businesses and delivering shareholder value.
Before joining Oceanus, Brian spent more than 20 years at TaxSlayer, a leading tax software platform based in Augusta, Georgia. During his tenure, he held a variety of leadership roles across operations, strategy, and business development. As Chief Executive Officer for over five years, Brian guided the company through a successful private equity transaction and oversaw its evolution into a nationally recognized brand, significantly expanding its user base and market presence.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Augusta University and an MBA from Georgia College and State University. He is passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering innovation, and supporting the long-term success of founder-led and growth-stage companies
